Privacy route

Newsletter privacy information

A newsletter should be clear, optional and easy to leave.

Newsletter sign-up is not open during the limited launch. This page explains the proposed email-only route and the privacy controls PUCIC will use before it opens.

The newsletter will use a simple, separate route — never a referral or safeguarding channel.

Privacy choices should be easy to see before anyone signs up.

01

Subscription status

Newsletter sign-up is not open during the limited launch.

02

What will be collected

When sign-up opens, PUCIC will ask for an email address, a 13+ declaration and separate newsletter consent only.

03

How it will work

The intended route uses a separate double-opt-in email service; it is never a referral or safeguarding channel.

04

How long it will be kept

When active, subscription data will be kept while a person remains subscribed. After opt-out, a minimal suppression record will be retained for 24 months to respect that choice, then securely deleted.

Consent comes before confirmation.

PUCIC will not open newsletter sign-up until the selected email service, separate affirmative consent, 13+ declaration, double-opt-in confirmation, unsubscribe route and retention controls have been configured and tested.

When that route opens, it will ask only for an email address, a confirmation that the person is 13 or over, and a separate affirmative choice to receive the newsletter. It will not be used for referrals, course enquiries, safeguarding concerns or casework.

The sender will be Phoenix UTD CIC using info@pucic.co.uk. Each email will provide a clear unsubscribe route.

Newsletter subscriptions are not course enquiries.

The newsletter will keep only subscription-related data when it opens. Phoenix UTD CIC’s approved course-enquiry policy is separate: course-enquiry records are retained for no longer than 12 months after the last meaningful contact, then securely deleted unless the individual becomes a learner, a legal obligation requires further retention, or an active dispute justifies a documented extension.
